Audemars Piguet Creates Unique Piece Black Ceramic Chronograph For Charity Auction
Raising funds for clean water charity One Drop.
Audemars Piguet has created a unique piece Royal Oak that will be auctioned off to raise funds for a clean water charity.
The Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph “One Drop” features a 41mm black ceramic case, pushers and screwed-down crown with a bright blue linear-brushed metallic dial with snailed chronograph registers, set with blackened gold applied hour markers.
Inside is a 4Hz Audemars Piguet Calibre 4401 flyback chronograph movement with 70-hour power reserve.
Its one-of-one status is confirmed on its titanium and sapphire crystal caseback, which is engraved “Unique Piece”.
The last time Audemars Piguet created a one-off Royal Oak for charity it sold for around $3.4M USD at Only Watch 2021.
The watch will be auctioned off at the La Cuvée One Drop 2022 dinner in Las Vegas on November 12 with proceeds going towards One Drop Foundation’s work to provide “safe water, sanitation and hygiene for the most vulnerable communities”.
