For Fall/Winter 2022, AMI creative director Alexandre Mattiussi sought to crystallize the Paris-based label’s signature iconography through a sartorial collaboration with Brazilian-born, London-based jewelry designer Alan Crocetti. Under a paired ethos, the duo carved new takes on AMI’s celebrated Ami de Couer motif, which resembles a capital “A” crowned with a heart, across a series of unisex necklaces, bracelets, rings, ear cuffs and more.

The range offers a bevy of love-on-the-brain works, distinguished most notably by red and metal finishes. Chokers, complete with a decorative “A” charm, are packed with glistening, red-heart crystals, while rings don double metal iterations of the core shape and bracelets carry several hearts in the same silver composition. There’s also an edgy metal heart ear cuff that’s sure to garner a few double-takes, but it’s the collaboration’s single-red-heart ring that truly delivers a full dose of drama.

“I have been following Alan’s creations for some time now. His universe is unique, very personal and sexy, I love his extremely well-designed work,” Mattiussi said in a statement. “I wanted AMI’s new collection to feature an elegant line of jewelry, simple yet with a strong identity. Together with Alan, we decided to start with the heart, as it is a symbol at the core of AMI’s history and signature. Alan keeps pushing boundaries, and I truly believe that he is the most creative jewelry designer of his generation.”

Delving into the capsule’s symbolic identifiers, Crocetti provided context on the meaning behind the two-directional heart motifs present throughout the range. “Both Ami and Alan Crocetti share the same ethos,” he said. “One that embraces the meaning of Love. In jewelry, it is said that if you wear a ring with its front towards you it means you wear it for yourself and the opposite way to show it to someone else. With this jewelry collection, you have the hearts facing both ways conveying the idea that you got to love yourself the same way you project and give love to others.”

The collaborative capsule is now available to shop globally, in both AMI stores and on the brand’s website. Take a look at the collection in the gallery above.
