Lamborghini Updates Its SUV With New Urus Performante
Featuring a sharper design and several performance enhancements.
Lamborghini made waves in the automotive industry with the unveiling of its debut Urus SUV. Now, the Italian car manufacturer has upped the stakes with the announcement of its new Urus Performante.
One of the primary updates to the sports performance SUV is its enhanced aerodynamic design. Making for a sleeker makeup is the vehicle’s sharper bonnet with air outlets, sharper bumper design, front air-intakes for increased engine cooling, a new air curtain to full airflow over the front wheels and a rear spoiler.
“The Urus Performante’s very bold and characterful design perfectly integrates the improved aerodynamics incorporating the front bumper’s air curtain, with significant visual differentiation including the new lightweight carbon fiber engine bonnet and extensive use of carbon fiber throughout reminding of its ‘Performante’ heritage,” said the head of design, Mitja Borkert. “This benchmarking Urus is designed as a unique driver-oriented Super SUV.”
Another key update is an increase in power, which takes the Urus up by 16 CV alongside a 47 kg weight reduction. With the enhancement, the Urus Performante accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds with 850 Nm of torque. Other improvements include a lower profile, upgraded Pirelli P Zero tires, re-engineered drive modes and more.
Retailing for $260,676 USD, the Lamborghini Urus Performante is set to hit the market towards the end of this year. Check out the gallery above for a look at the enhanced SUV.
