The Three Stripes Unveils Its Newest adidas 4DFWD Running Silhouette
The German brand’s latest running invention features 23% more cushioning than previous 4D models.
Performance has and always will be a priority for adidas and its innovations teams, and the brand is ready to leap into the future with its all-new runner — the adidas 4DFWD. The silhouette’s overall shape is more or less kept intact, but a handful of technological advancements have been integrated to make them more comfortable and supportive.
Up top, the construction leans on a blend of mesh and PrimeKnit, and it has been engineered to provide wearers with a more snug fit. Stacked underneath that is a brand new bowtie-shaped lattice midsole unit which is designed to morph vertical pressure into horizontal force that aids runners with a smoother transition. This specific component also provides 23% more cushioning than we’ve seen on past 4D-supported models. Furthermore, the Continental outsole down below supplies extra traction so that they can hold up in harsher weather conditions.
“Carbon Cloud White” and “Impact Orange” iteration for men as well as “Grey Five and “Cloud White colorways for women are slated to launch on September 1 via adidas for $200 USD a pop. You can peep a closer look at the new offering in the gallery above.
