Burberry Unveils 'Blue Period' Collaboration
Featuring an original manga series by Tsubasa Yamaguchi.

Proving the fitting intersection between manga/anime and fashion, Burberry recently unveiled its latest collaboration with the popular series, Blue Period. Written and illustrated by Tsubasa Yamaguchi, the Kodansha Monthly Afternoon serialized manga is centered around Yatora Yaguchi, a bored with life, yet popular high schooler who find inspiration in painting and enters the beautiful yet unrelenting world of art.
The Burberry x Blue Period collaboration sees series creator Tsubasa Yamaguchi anthropomorphize the brand’s iconic Lola bag in a new original story. The new character will be paired with protagonist Yatora Yaguchi to highlight the artful aesthetic of Blue Period with the beauty of Burberry. To mark the collaboration, Tsubasa Yamaguchi has drawn promotional illustrations showing the characters dressed in distinct Burberry items.
The Burberry x Blue Period collaborative manga releases will be available at Burberry locations in Japan from August 20, with digital versions available on Burberry’s website.
