Bephies Beauty Supply x Air Jordan 7 “We vs. I” Launch Includes an Alternate Green Colorway
The duo of colorways is also slated to drop alongside a matching apparel collection.
Beth Gibbs — wife of Union LA‘s owner Chris Gibbs — has been granted the opportunity to work with Jordan Brand on her own Air Jordan 7 sneaker capsule and an accompanying apparel range through her imprint Bephies Beauty Supply. After the first round of leaked images and official photos surfaced earlier this Summer, it was believed that she only had the “Sandrift” colorway up her sleeve, but with the collection’s official announcement, a surprise teal and green colorways has surfaced.
Instead of keeping the classic Tinker Hatfield-designed silhouette’s shape intact, Gibbs decided to employe her own twist on the kicks by toying with its construction. Mesh booties that tightened up by a toggle lace system have now been added, and the heels have been equipped with a heel counter that’s takes the same shape as the Air Huarache. Additionally, tiny Swooshes have been embroidered onto the forefoot as well as “BBS” by the toe tips to represent Bephie’s Beauty Supply. Both colorways are symbolic of Gibbs’ Caribbean roots.
In the apparel department, the two parties have prepared tracksuits, dresses, graphic tees, textured shirts and more. Be on the lookout for the Bephies Beauty Supply x Jordan Brand “We vs. I” collection to release on August 25 via UNION and Bephies Beauty Supply.
