Ajax’s New Away Jersey Draws Inspiration From Amsterdam’s Coat of Arms
The team will debut the new adidas kit for their opening game of the season against Fortuna Sittard.

Amsterdam-based football team Ajax is known for pushing the boundaries when it comes to its jerseys. Last season, the Dutch champions released a Bob Marley-themed away kit that paid homage to the singer’s famous record, “Three Little Birds.” This campaign, adidas and Ajax have presented their latest away uniform that taps into the history of the smokey city.
The new away jersey features the Andreas crosses displayed on Amsterdam’s Coat of Arms, while luxe detailing is also included on the sleeves and collar. Touches of gold are incorporated over the navy blue base of the shirt along with hints of red across adidas’ Three Stripe, the collar and sleeves, and the three stars above the club crest. The kit’s shorts come with a red base, complemented by dark navy blue adidas branding along the sides and on the bottom of the right leg.
You can have a closer look at Ajax’s away jersey for the 2022/23 season above and the squad will be wearing the colors for the opening game of the season against Fortuna Sittard next weekend. The jersey is also available to purchase now on the official adidas website and the official Ajax webstore.
