KangaROOS is continuing to expand its seven-store GAMMA+ imprint with a new “GAMMA+” sneaker design that is inspired by cancer prevention and the lives that a diagnosis can change. The shoe is labeled “Fuck Cancer” and has been made in collaboration with footwear retailer Acribik and the cancer awareness movement NOBU with a percentage of the proceeds being donated to the German Bone Marrow Donor Centre in the battle against blood cancer.

Standing for “None Other But Us,” NOBU was founded by Acribik’s store manager whose cancer diagnosis inspired him to bring cancer more into people’s minds to give strength to those affected, whether that is a relative or someone suffering themselves. Throughout the design of the shoe, the upper of the new “Fuck Cancer” silhouette is constructed from suede and corduroy, lined with a padded and breathable mesh along the heel-side pads. By also integrating an EVA foam sole, it has been equipped with a Dynacoil damping system – that vaporizes all liquids that enter the shoe – along with a new heel stabilizer to increase comfort when wearing the sneaker for longer periods of time.

You can have a closer look at the KangaROOS x Acribik “Fuck Cancer” sneaker above and it is available exclusively on the official Acribik store now and will also be available throughout the GAMMA+ umbrella and KangaROOS online shop from July 16.
