DUKE + DEXTER Launches Its Own ‘Bowls Club’ for Its Mid-Season Drop
Highlighting a classic generational sport.
Following up from its Spring/Summer 2022 “TIME + PLACE” campaign, leading British footwear company DUKE + DEXTER has circled back for mid-summer with a new twist for consumers – launching the D+D ‘Bowls Club.’
Hypebeast obtained exclusive imagery from D+D, highlighting a classic generational sport, where senior game participants are seen wearing the latest offering of the brand’s products. Featured amidst a lush California playing field, are several footwear styles including an ecru leather skate shoe with a contrasting gray, perforated leather overlay, as well as a pair of white suede runners with a contrasting mesh toe box, midsection mesh inlays and tan gum outsoles.
Stylewise, the elder gamers – belonging to the Beverly Hills Holmby Park Bowls Club – appear dressed in elevated leisurewear comprised of white jeans, oversized knitwear, thin vests and caps, as they play a fun game of bowls against the D+D Bowls Club.
Commenting on the campaign imagery and the gaming experience, D+D Founder and CEO, Archie Hewlett, says: “Bowls is played with precision, skill, and patience. It’s subtly competitive – and it’s the ultimate pursuit of leisure under the sun.”
