Andrew Won Creates Upcycled Tissue Boxes Using Old Arc'teryx Jackets
Released at his workshop for Arc’teryx Toronto.
Andrew Won has just released some of his upcycled capsule collection with Arc’teryx Toronto. In celebration of Arc’teryx Toronto’s first Care and Repair Service center, Won organized a workshop with a focus on circularity, methods of upcycling, and sustainability. Part of this partnership sees tissue boxes made from “worn beyond optimum” Arc’teryx garments.
Each tissue box features paneled construction using used jackets with labels and GORE-TEX branding clearly visible. Parts of the materials’ previous life are also left intact like the chest zippers, velcro straps, and grommets. Proceeds from this capsule are set to go directly to HanVoice Canada, a Canadian group working to improve the human rights situation in North Korea by resettling refugees, educating students, and developing policy solutions.
