While Reebok these days may be most recognized for collaborations with the likes of JJJJound, Maison Margiela and Eames Office, its history of partnerships is extensive. One such relationship that has carried on for decades is with NBA Hall of Famer Allen Iverson. As an active player, Iverson received several signature shoes including the Reebok Question and Reebok Answer lines which he’d wear on court. Now, the Reebok Answer IV pulls colors and details from Iverson’s pair he wore during his MVP season in 2001.
With the Reebok Answer IV “White/Black,” the upper carries its signature zip shroud that hides the lacing system while white and black tones go back and forth throughout the monochromatic look. Callouts to Iverson range from his face on the outsole and some of his tattoos displayed on the sockliner, resulting in this pair carrying a historical legacy. The leather upper combines with a DMX foam midsole and rubber outsole to complete the look.
The Reebok Answer IV “White/Black” is slated to release June 24 at midnight EDT via Reebok and select retailers at a price of $160 USD.
