Blizzard Entertainment has released a new official trailer for Overwatch 2 during Microsoft’s Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase. The trailer reveals an official release date and features a new character named Junker Queen.

The new game will introduce new maps, modes, and characters. The game also features a free-to-play PvP mode. Junker Queen is the second hero to appear in Overwatch 2 after Jojurn, a meat shield-type character, and the game’s 34th hero.

An official livestream revealing details of the game will be held on June 16. The reveal event will disclose details about the live service model, beta testing, seasonal content planning, and detailed information about Junker Queen.

In addition, before the game’s official launch, the official live broadcast event will be held on June 16. More information about the game will be announced on the live broadcast, including season content planning, packaging and testing information, and a detailed introduction to Junker Queen.

Overwatch 2 will launch on October 4, free-to-play on Windows, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Playstation 5, Playstation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Blizzard will be offering Overwatch 2 Founder’s Pack to those who own Overwatch as an appreciation to the original players.

Elsewhere in gaming, Diablo IV has announced a 2023 release window via its latest developer gameplay trailer.
