The Straw Hats Return in a New and Upgraded Version of ONE PIECE ODYSSEY

Bandai Namco’s Summer Game Fest continues with the recent announcement that ONE PIECE ODYSSEY – one of its time-treasured games – will be getting a reboot.
In a two-minute trailer video for the game, new characters are revealed alongside former ones, with the opening storyline reading: “Straw Hat Pirates, journeying along the Grand Line.” Setting sail on their hybrid sailing-rocket ship, pirate crew members Franky, Nami, Tony Tony. Chopper, Brook, Usopp, Nico Robin, Roronoa Zoro, Sanii and Monkey. D. Luffy are shown embarking on an adventure towards a tower-filled city while straddling danger and excitement along the way.
BN shared that the new game “has been in the works for many years,” and that “hidden mysteries and new encounters” await the crew “in an odyssey beyond imagination.”
A release date has not been revealed as of yet, but the game is slated for a 2022 release with pre-orders now open on its website. OPO will be available on PC via Steam, PlayStation (4 and 5), and Xbox Series X|S.
In other news, ESPN and the NBA teamed up for the first time on a new pair of “Victory Goggles.”
