There are some things in life that simply don’t go out of style. The Nike Air Pegasus ‘83 is certainly one. Debuted by the Swoosh nearly four decades ago, the silhouette still holds the crown as Nike’s all-time best-selling running shoe.

First designed as a “shoe for every type of runner,” Nike will release this classic trainer in a colorway that will surely complement any type of occasion. Dressed in a sleek “Black and Cool Grey” iteration, the runner is built with Bill Bowerman’s iconic rubber waffle outsole and a soft foam midsole with a comfortable Air unit. Additional details include a retro wordmark on the heel tab, along with a tasteful suite of leather, suede and canvas to complete the throwback look.

As sneaker culture has elevated from one technology to the next, the Air Pegasus ‘83 has quietly remained in flight to be just as relevant today as it was back in the early days of the company. The “Black and Cool Grey” iteration drops on Nike and select retailers for $100 USD on June 22 at 7am PT. Keep up with all things Swoosh by downloading the SNKRS app.
