Official Images of the Off-White™ x Nike Air Force 1 Mid "Black"
Virgil Abloh spruces up the lifestyle model with track spikes, curvy midsoles and more.
2022 is the year that Nike is going full force with its Air Force 1 Mid both on the collaborative and GR fronts. The former recently saw a three-piece initiative alongside Stüssy, and now its catalog is growing with this Off-White™ x Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Black” colorway. This makeup first surfaced back in October 2021, but now its official images have now been loaded.
We all knew that Virgil Abloh had a penchant for reimagining classic Nike and Jordan silhouettes with his unique design language, and he certainly did that here by giving the lifestyle model further texture and shape. Material-wise, the late designer discarded its traditional leather build and opted for a synthetic base, that is completely covered in black. Stand-out accents on the upper are shown through white hits which apply to the Swooshes, medial Helvetica branding, graffiti font tongue logos and X-shaped second set of laces, as well as the orange blasts which arrive on the lace toggles, mid-foot tabs and zip ties. Below, the midsoles have been altered with wavy textures in the rear while the front of the treading is bolstered with colorful track spikes.
No official launch date has been announced by Nike yet but now that we have official images, a drop could occur any week now.
