Nike's BRSB Arrives in a "UCLA" Colorway
An ode to the Swoosh’s original name, Blue Ribbon Sports.
Following monochrome and classic red, white, and blue introductions, Nike SB‘s new BRSB sneaker returns in a “Blue/Yellow” colorway. The low-top silhouette is an ode to the company’s original name, Blue Ribbon Sports, and takes heavy inspiration from Bill Bowerman‘s 1972 Nike Cortez design.
Arriving in UCLA-like color blocking, the upcoming pairs feature blue tonal suede uppers with oversized yellow leather Swoosh overlays and mismatched “NIKE” and “SB” heel tabs. The dark blue eyestays and toebox strips are found with sawtooth edges and a special Nike BRSB tag adorns the tongue. Rounding out the design are React foam insoles, ink-splotched translucent windows on the midsoles, and textured rubber outsoles.
Take an official look at the Nike BRSB “Blue/Yellow” above and expect the pairs to arrive at Nike’s website on July 1 for $100 USD.
Elsewhere in footwear, Nike’s Air Pegasus ‘83 gets dressed in “Black and Cool Grey.”
