Lamborghini has recently announced the growth of their sales since the beginning of the year. Amongst the 8,045 vehicles they delivered this year, the Urus model has accounted for more than half of these sales, making it the largest contributor to the carmaker’s sales.

In just four short years, Lamborghini has hit a major milestone, producing 20,000 of these SUVs, making the Urus the company’s best-selling model in the shortest time ever. It was only 11 months ago that Lamborghini was producing its 15,000th example of the Urus. The Italian luxury carmaker only released the model in 2018 and since then, 70% of Urus’ orders are from new customers who have never owned a Lamborghini.

To commemorate the major feat, the 20,000th Urus is painted in Viola Mithras tones. This special edition may also add a bit of collectible value to this car warranting greater interest from fans worldwide. It remains to be seen how Lamborghini plans to expand its Urus line due to its success.

In other automotive news, most of Ferrari’s lineup will transition to electric by 2026.
