Copenhagen’s NAKED CPH and adidas Originals have a long-standing relationship that has served us plenty of retro-inspired collaborations, from the fan-favorite adidas Consortium Magmur to the underrated Response CL “Mercury” and the once-popular UltraBOOST. Now, given adidas Originals’ push of OG silhouettes, NAKED CPH takes the Supernova Cushion 7 and gives it a fresh rework informed by the palette of “Onyx.”

Per NAKED CPH, the collaboration aims “to explore the importance and impact of energy in all its forms, from the spiritual and emotional to the physical.” This message inspired the brand to work on the Supernova Cushion 7, which is known for its transformative levels of comfort, thus delivering energy all day long.

Here, NAKED CPH decks the sneaker in a breathable black mesh which was chosen to reduce heat, while beneath you’ll find the signature adiPRENE sole unit that absorbs and dissolves shock. A torsion TPU arch between the forefoot and heel is both aesthetic and physically enhancing, adding a metaphorical bridge between the two brands while also genuinely offering the wearer a bridge of support.

Retro touches such as a glossy-metallic silver cage, adorned with Three Stripes taken right from the 1990s, as well as a final coating of iridescence at the toe and purple at the heel complete the OG aesthetic.

Take a look at the NAKED CPH x adidas Originals Supernova Cushion 7 “Onyx” above, and pick up a pair from NAKED CPH’s website and store now for €130 EUR (approx. $138 USD), as well as on adidas CONFIRMED from May 25.
