Drake's "Dave’s Hot Chicken" is Now America's Fastest-Growing Restaurant

Founded by Arman Oganesyan, best friend Chef Dave Kopushyan, along with brothers Tommy and Gary Rubenyan, Dave’s Hot Chicken has moved from being a pop-up in an East Hollywood parking lot to America’s fastest-growing restaurant. Its fried chicken offerings even landed them an early investment from Drake which only added to its following.
Aside from receiving over 31 million views of organic, user-generated TikTok content and gaining the highest Instagram followers per restaurant of any national fast-casual brand, Dave’s Hot Chicken also saw 262% total 2021 sales growth compared to 2020 and 471% total 2021 open unit count growth compared to 2020. The popularity of the restaurant has also helped launched plans to open more than 700 locations, with locations currently open throughout North America, including Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Detroit, Toronto, Portland, Milwaukee and more.
Dave’s Hot Chicken is known for its Hot Chicken Sliders and Tenders, offered in seven spice levels. Ranging from intensity, customers can choose from No Spice to Reaper, which requires a signed waiver. Menu items also come accompanied by classic sides like mac n’ cheese, fries, kale-slaw and more.
“Dave’s Hot Chicken has one the greatest origin stories in the restaurant business, with the founders starting Dave’s as a parking lot pop-up restaurant in Hollywood with a portable fryer and picnic tables from their backyards just five short years ago,” said Bill Phelps, Dave’s Hot Chicken’s CEO.
