Porsche Design Drops Chronograph 1 All Black Numbered Edition
Celebrating the historic chronograph on the brand’s 50th Anniversary.

Porsche Design is issuing a new limited and numbered version of its historic Chronograph 1.
The Chronograph 1 All Black Numbered Edition is based on the 1972 original – the first watch to use a solid black coating – and will be produced in limited numbers of no more than 1,000 annually, with each piece individually numbered.
Part of Porsche Design’s 50th Anniversary celebrations this year, the watch follows the 500-piece Chronograph 1 – 911 Edition that was offered exclusively to new owners of the Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS in January and quickly sold-out.
Made-to-order at Porsche Design’s watchmaking facility in Solothurn, Switzerland, the Chronograph 1 All Black Numbered Edition features a titanium carbide-coated and bead-blasted titanium case and bracelet with Porsche Design’s own WERK 01.140 COSC-certified day/date chronograph movement, which can be viewed through the watch’s sapphire crystal caseback.
Deliveries of the Chronograph 1 All Black Numbered Edition begin in November, but pre-orders for the $10,500 USD watch are being taken at Porsche Design now.
