Eye/LOEWE/Nature Drops Puffy Pleated Nylon Slides for SS22

Jonathan Anderson‘s LOEWE isn’t afraid of making statement footwear — take a look at its recent On collaboration, Fall/Winter 2022’s see-through wellies, or the infamous egg heels if you need reminding. Now, the luxury label’s Eye/LOEWE/Nature division turns to something more technical, serving up its core SS22 slide.
Officially titled the Pleated Slide in Nylon, the pair comes in either neon orange, neon pink, or a subtler black rendition, with each sporting a padded nylon pillow that acts as the foot covering. Here, the Eye/LOEWE/Nature logo graces a webbing strap that runs over the foot to keep everything in place, while more of the same appears across both of the footbeds.
These footbeds are equally plushy, served up a neoprene material that’s filled with comfort-inducing puffiness. However, contrasting all of this is the sole unit, which comes courtesy of Vibram and across all colorways is finished in a brown-burgundy hue with signature orange branding, coming together to add plenty of traction to the tactile footwear style.
