Watch the New Teaser for the Upcoming ‘Ms. Marvel’ Miniseries
Coming to Disney+ in June.
Marvel Studios has put out a new teaser for its upcoming Disney+ miniseries Ms. Marvel. Created by Bisha K. Ali, the series follows a Pakistani American teenager struggling to fit in at high school and spending her free time writing Captain Marvel fanfiction in her free time. Things change when she suddenly gains the power to harness cosmic energy.
Set to The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” the teaser shows Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel concede that she may spend “too much time in fantasyland” after her mother scolds her. Cut to her discovering a glowing bangle, Khan now glows with cosmic power.
The series is based on the original Marvel Comics and will arrive as the seventh television show in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Alongside Vellani, Ms. Marvel stars Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, and Matt Lintz.
Filming began in late 2020 and wrapped up in May of last year. Vellani will reprise her role in 2023’s The Marvels, a sequel to 2019’s Captain Marvel.
