Czapek & Cie Announces a One-Year Pause on All Orders for the Antarctique
“We find ourselves in the situation of not being able to cope with the high demand.”

It looks like Czapek & Cie‘s showing at Watches and Wonders was a huge success as the independent watch brand has just announced that it will be closing its order book for one year for all orders for the Antarctique Passage de Drake and Antarctique S models. Since its re-launch in 2015, with the intent of re-establishing the name of Francois Czapek, the brand has seen a loyal following with increased demand for the Antarctique model — this was also spurred on by several winning collaborations and limited dial variations like the Viridian Green dial with Fratello, Roaring Forties, and Abyss edition release.
In a press release, Czapek states: “The launch of the Antarctique, back in 2020, has strongly accelerated this growth, and now we find ourselves in the situation of not being able to cope with the high demand of timepieces from this collection.” The watchmaker plans on commencing orders again at Watches and Wonders 2023 when all open orders for the Antarctique are honored. They are also currently moving to a larger Atelier in La-Chaux-De-Fond and are adding additional staff to meet demand.
