Balenciaga To Show Next Collection in New York City
The presentation will take place on May 21.

Balenciaga will show its Spring/Summer 2023 collection in New York City on May 21. The Parisian fashion house, which operates under French parent company Kering, has not yet announced the venue or further details on the runway show.
Creative director Demna‘s decision to move the presentation overseas marks the industry’s latest move in its return to pre-pandemic destination fashion shows. Pucci has announced it will present its first designs by Camille Miceli in Capri on April 28, and Dior will host a runway show in Seoul on April 30 for Maria Grazia Chiuri’s pre-fall 2022 range.
Additionally, Chanel has booked a show in Monaco on May 5; Gucci has reserved May 16 for a presentation at an undisclosed European location; Louis Vuitton is flying to southern California on May 12, and Kim Jones has scheduled the unveiling of his latest men’s collection for Dior in Los Angeles on May 19.
Last month, Balenciaga debuted its Winter 2022 360° collection during Paris Fashion Week in an oversized snowglobe where models trudged through a fake blizzard. There, the French imprint debuted a slew of bold silhouettes, including reimagined iterations of leather jackets, bombers, denim and track jackets, as well as a range of oversized and distressed turtlenecks, pants and jersey hoodies, among several other designs.
