adidas ZX 2K Boost Utility Gets Treated With GORE-TEX Uppers
Sporting a stealthy “Carbon” palette.
Despite the fact that the warmer seasons are starting to settle in, it’s never a bad time to make sure that you have a pair of protective footwear in your rotation. Thankfully adidas can help fill this void as it has just unveiled its brand new ZX 2K Boost Utility GORE-TEX that can keep your sole shielded from a torrential downpour.
Given the stealthy arrangement of these kicks, they can almost pass as something that Yohji Yamamoto would craft for his iconic adidas Y-3 brand. Most of the upper is covered in a “Carbon” hue, and comes complemented by stark black heel cages and mudguards. The tongues are formed with zippered closures and come overlapped by thicker rope laces similar to the adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 “Turtle Dove.” GORE-TEX branding is printed across the medial sides to call out its waterproof capabilities. Boost foam is exposed on the midsoles from the mid-foot to the front and comes stacked above hiker-friendly sole pieces.
