Parmigiani Fleurier Continues to Evolve the Tonda PF Line With Split GMT Rattrapante
With a world’s first hidden home time lug pusher.

Parmigiani Fleurier releases another exciting Tonda PF at this year’s Watches & Wonders Geneva.
In keeping with Guido Terreni’s vision — since joining the independent watch manufacturer as CEO a little over a year ago — the Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante employs the same design language as the likes of the Micro Rotor and Split Seconds Chronograph with a minimal layout and signature platinum knurled bezel.
Taking a sartorial and innovative approach to watchmaking, the GMT Rattrapante is the world-first to incorporate a split GMT in such a discreet manner. Three hands appear on the Milano Blue Grain d’Orge guilloché dial, where when the lug-integrated pusher at 8 o’clock is pressed, the rhodium-plated gold hand jumps forward to reveal a rose gold home time hand. Once the second time zone is no longer required, the wearer simply pushes the button at the crown where the hand returns to obscure the second time zone.
“In watchmaking, there is a permanent tension between aesthetic and technique as if there are two separate worlds that must coexist. This is even reflected in the word used to describe the components conveying the design of a timepiece, the watch exterior elements collectively referred to in French as “habillage”, meaning “that which attires the movement”. To me, the way you develop a complication has incredible implications on the mood of the watch and hence on its design. The world-first Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante pushes the boundaries of watchmaking, reinventing one of the most coveted and useful functions and embodying Parmigiani Fleurier’s discreet, unostentatious spirit through uncompromising technical choices,” says Guido Terreni.
At the back, owners will find a beautiful display of the PF051 movement with its 22ct rose gold micro-rotor, and Côtes de Genève and Perlage finishing. All this is packed inside a 40mm case and is expected to retail for a price of $28,700 USD.
