Nike SB Officially Unveils a Duo of Fruit-Inspired Dunk Colorways
The Nike SB Dunk High “Pineapple” and SB Dunk Low “Cherry” are headed your way.
A serious amount of new colorways are being churned out by Nike and its popular SB label this year, and a handful of the iterations that will be trickling out to the shelves shortly is a fruit-inspired capsule of Dunks. Two more offerings have officially been unveiled by the Swoosh in the Nike SB Dunk High “Pineapple” and the Nike SB Dunk Low “Cherry,” both of which are prepared in delectable color palettes.
Upper halves of the “Pineapple” colorway are executed with various shades of yellow. Suede overlays stand out most due to their golden skin to likely represent the spiky skin, and these are seated next to pale yellow Swooshes and toe boxes, quarters and collars that are styled with a barely-yellow tint which speak to the actual fruit’s appearance. Moreover, the green pull tabs represent the crown and pineapple graphics split between each interior tongue with different wacky facial expressions.
The “Cherry” makeup takes a much darker-toned approach. More saturated reds reminiscent of a Maraschino cherry that you’d find in your local diner milkshake appear on the toe boxes, mid-foot and collars while burgundy cascades over the laces and suede overlays. Like its release counterpart, cherry-inspired imagery also makes its way onto the inner tongues to speak to its tasteful motif.
No release dates have been announced for each pair yet but there’s a good chance that skate shops could be releasing these soon.
In other news, a Jackie Robinson-inspired Dunk Low has been revealed.
