Air Jordan 1 Mid "Africa" Is Constructed With a Plethora of Textures
Tumbled leathers, crinkled collars and elephant-like skins all arrive on the Jordan model.
Say what you want about Air Jordan 1 Mids, but there’s clearly a huge demand for them within the market as Jordan Brand continues to ramp up its production of new colorways. A sizable amount of new iterations are slated to release in the coming months, one being this Air Jordan 1 Mid “Africa” that has just surfaced onto our radar by way of official imagery.
While the colors on this installment are interesting and include various shades of dusted reds and oranges, it’s the multitude of textures here that really give them its spirit. Elephant-esque leather dresses up the toe caps and the lower heels, and these come mated with crinkled leathers that show up on the forefoot, ankle flaps and collars. Muted burgundy hues are present atop the smooth leather toe boxes, tongues and throat overlays while the Swooshes are prepared with white cracked leathers. Pop over to the rear end of the shoes and you’ll see a tiny silhouette of Africa on the left side while a Jordan Brand logo adorns the right.
There’s no word when these will be available to the public, but you can likely expect them to launch in the coming months.
