When Harvey Ross Ball was hired by an insurance company to create a morale-boosting symbol in 1963, neither party would realize the sensational mark they had landed upon. Fast forward to the present and the Smiley symbol is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a host of collaborations, including an illuminating wall artwork by André Saraiva.

Known for his own smiley-inspired figure, the Swedish-French artist worked with Yellowpop to re-interpret his iconic Mr. A character which has featured on walls and street corners around the world. The collaboration stays faithful to the original Smiley symbol with subtle changes to the eyes.

Limited to just 350 units, each Smiley comes numbered and engraved. Interested buyers can sign up now for early access to purchase the Smiley by André Saraiva neon artwork at Yellowpop. The drop will officially be available for purchase starting on February 28 for $590 USD.
