URWERK Wraps UR-100V C52 in 52 Layers of Carbon
The new watch weighs just 11 grams.

URWERK has wrapped its UR-100V in a case composed of 52 layers of carbon for a limited edition of just 25 pieces.
The UR-100V C52 uses layers of ultra tough “CTP Carbon compressed in epoxy polymer resin” and follows URWERK’s previous version of its “wandering hours” UR-100V, the Full Titanium Jacket.
The layers become a visual feature radiating out from the dial and allow the watch, including its titanium caseback, to come in at just 11g.
“The curves enhancing the bezel of the UR-100V C52, tracing their way from the crown to the sides of the watch passing through the lugs, are a classic reference. We find this same motif on the ancient Greek columns.” Says Martin Frei, co-founder and chief designer of URWERK.
Inside, the watch is powered by a 4Hz UR 12.02 automatic movement with a 48-hour power reserve, while a textured rubber strap with a folding clasp secures the watch to the wrist.
The URWERK UR-100V C52 is available now via URWERK retailers, priced CHF 53,000 (approximately $57,400 USD) excluding taxes.
