Copenhagen Fashion Week is in full swing, and the latest brand to present its Fall/Winter 2022 offering is Karl-Oskar Olsen and Brian SS Jensen’s Danish imprint Wood Wood, which turns 20 this year.

In traditional celebratory form, Wood Wood pulled out all the stops for its presentation this season. Set to a ’90s rave, trance, and breakbeat-infused track produced by Overmono, the FW22 collection looked to the vibrance and creativeness that has frequented throughout the brand’s collections and collaborations over the years, while also tapping the Danish artist Tal R who reworked and applied his art to various garments in the collection.

The result included a Cowi Vogel cardigan, Wood Wood’s oversized Italian jacquard piece that’s not too dissimilar to something from COOGI in the ’90s, as well as a boilersuit and a two-piece tracksuit that’s covered in laser-engraved Tal R artwork alongside patches. The theme is continued with more patches appearing on a nylon bomber, kitted out with an oversized vintage silhouette, and the elongated hoodie-jacket piece adds to the artwork range, only this time it appears with plenty of color.

As Olsen explained, “Wood Wood is much more than a brand. It’s about style and attitude. We were raised with the desire to evolve constantly, and we’ll keep on taking the brand even further by combining elements of underground and high-end into our very own aesthetic.” For FW22 this is precisely what the brand has delivered, showcasing an evolution that’s considerably more streetwear-tinged than before yet simultaneously classic in its approach — the women’s striped suit is a clear example of this, while a gray knitted zip-up jacket and slatted v-neck sweaters contrast this and serve as something more familiar to Wood Wood.

Take a look at the lookbook above, and expect the collection to release at Wood Wood stores and online later this year.
