Snow Peak Adds Field Suite Spa to Japan HQ
Designed by Kengo Kuma and opening later this year.
Snow Peak has unveiled its Field Suite Spa, due to open as part of the label’s extended headquarters in the Shimoda area of Sanjo City, Niigata. The new space has been designed by legendary architect Kengo Kuma, who’s understated and natural-inspired designs reflect the landscape surrounding the Field Suite Spa.
The Field Suite Spa complex is due to include a campsite, restaurant and baths, all of which are focused around a natural hot spring facility, allowing visitors to the complex to enjoy the onsen surrounded by the region’s breathtaking scenery.
Announcing the new facility, Lisa Yamai, Snow Peak CEO said:
“By experiencing the warm natural hot springs that are born from the great outdoors, we can see that our lives are based on nature when we look back on our daily lives. I hope it will give you an opportunity to remember.”
The Snow Peak Field Suite Spa is due to open for day visitors and overnight guests in April 2022, with reservation applications beginning in March. More information is available on the Snow Peak site.
