Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's "Still D.R.E." Hits One Billion Views Following Super Bowl Halftime Performance
Marking the first time both artists have achieved this feat.
The music video for Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg‘s famed 2001 collab “Still D.R.E.” has officially hit one billion views on YouTube.
According to reports, this is both artists’ first ever visual to join YouTube’s one billion club and was achieved just a few days after their Super Bowl Halftime Show. The pair joined forces with Mary J. Blige, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar, and closed out the celebrated performance with the distinct piano riff of “Still D.R.E.” and Dre rapping his verse.
“Still D.R.E.” appeared in Dr. Dre’s 1991 sophomore studio album 2001, its music video helmed by Hype Williams and featured big names including Eminem as Slim Shady, Xzibit, Funkmaster Flex and Warren G. In 2020, Snoop confirmed that JAY-Z wrote the entirety of the track and further elaborated that Hov “wrote the whole f*cking song.”
