sacai and Nike Present Their Latest Collaborative Apparel Capsule
Chitose Abe prepares a range of neutral-heavy trench jackets, hoodies, cargo pants and more.
Nike has a penchant for aligning with impactful designers in the fashion space and allowing them to reimagine its products in an innovative way, and one creative that certainly falls under this category is Chitose Abe of sacai. The Japanese designer has carved out a new lane for the Swoosh’s footwear and clothing categories, and this month she’s put her spin on a new range of sacai x Nike apparel.
For this latest team-up, Abe delivers a concise range here that creates a healthy balance between sporty elements and a fashion-forward aesthetic. Leading the way for the capsule’s men’s outerwear is the Trench Jacket. The roomy piece comes in black and drab olive and black colorways and is cut with a roomier design and added pockets for utility. There’s also a full-zip hooded jacket that plays off of Nike’s traditional Windrunner only it is designed with unique layering on the chest and back. For the ladies, sacai has cooked up full-zip hooded jackets that are crafted with water-repellent materials and bear cargo sleeve pockets and snap pockets for extra storage purposes. To cap off the collection, Abe has also readied unisex tees and cargo pants that come in black with white co-branding.
