This year’s Miami Art Basel festivities are well underway, and Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III’s FriendsWithYou are celebrating by crafting a limited-edition 16-foot Starchild sculpture available for purchase. The artwork is a miniature version of the 50-foot original commissioned by the city of Miami Beach.

Bright orange hues encompass the joyous figure, which is a part of the duo’s larger body of work that aims to unite the human race by renaming the planet “Ocean.” Starchild is a symbol of light, power, and nature and is the first element of life in the new world.

The sculpture is designed with a painted stainless steel finish and boasts a slim yet tall figure, holding its arms up high while delivering brightness through its sun-shaped appearance.

The miniature Starchild sculpture is limited to 500 units and is available to purchase now via the FriendsWithYou website for $500 USD.
