Descente Reunites With Kazuki Kuraishi for Ski Wear Collaboration
Drawing inspiration from ‘90s punk aesthetics.
Descente and Kazuki Kuraishi have teamed up again for another drop of their ski wear collaboration. The collection focuses on providing skiers and snowboarders of all calibers with functional garments with a refreshing appeal.
Highlighted in the array of outerwear, fluffy sweaters, pants, and ski accessories is the BC Powder Jacket. Doused in all-over purple and gray plaid that draws inspiration from ‘90s Punk aesthetics, the jacket is constructed with a three-layer SOLOTEX jacquard material to ensure breathability while also being waterproof. With a design that double-up as a functional vest, the piece is fitted with plenty of pockets to store essential items ranging from goggles, gloves, snow shovels, cameras, and more. Paddings are also incorporated around areas that are more vulnerable and prone to injuries, which includes the shoulders, back, and bottoms for an extra layer of protection.
Another noteworthy item from the lineup is the new Powder Jacket, which comes in a 2.5-layer SOLOTEX fabrication for a breathable and waterproof outer shell. Its inner layer is incorporated with Descente’s Heat Navi technology, which can absorb and convert UV rays into heat for improved insulation.
