Following a collaboration with Medicom Toy for Giant Panda BE@RBRICKs, CLOT now reveals its latest project with Japanese bag specialist PORTER. Paying homage to Edison Chen‘s hometown of Hong Kong, the upcoming collection is inspired by the city’s emblematic RWB carrier bags.

Similar to what the blue IKEA FRAKTA bag is to Sweden, the ubiquitous and highly-adaptable RWB nylon bags were first introduced to Hong Kong in the ’60s and have become a symbolic part of the residents’ collective memory. The upcoming six-part series features hand-held totes, messenger bags, backpacks, and shoulder bags dressed in the definitive RWB prints across the nylon shell with dark blue straps and drawcords. A stylized “C” CLOT logo is placed alongside the classic PORTER badge on the bottom right corner of each piece.

The CLOT x PORTER bags are currently being exhibited at PORTER Omotesando in Tokyo and will be available via JUICE’s website and retailers on December 14.
