Woolrich's "Made in the USA" Collection Renovates the Label's Archival Flannels
The outerwear brand has been in business for more than 190 years.
Coined “The Original Outdoor Clothing Company,” Woolrich has been making flannel shirts for more than 190 years. Honoring its centuries-spanning history, the outerwear imprint has called on its archives of distinguished American design codes for a capsule of flannels titled “Made in the USA.”
The Fall/Winter 2022 drop-off includes the brand’s tried-and-true staples in a bevy of colorways with updated, refined details. Championing Woolrich’s legacy in purposeful workwear, the collection revamps archetypal fabrics and patterns with contemporary taste — in several iterations, the brand swaps traditional textiles for brushed wool and blended fabric variations, while still sticking to its age-old silhouettes.
Inside the range, Woolrich’s signature Timber Overshirt receives a modern renovation with a zip-front closure and workwear details including welt pockets, an upper patch pocket and storied buttoned cuffs. Elsewhere, the Trout Run Plaid Flannel can now be styled as either a shirt or an overshirt, and it’s been revamped in six new colorways, spanning red and blue check, refined black check and bright orange check, among others.
Woolrich’s “Made in the USA” Flannels collection is now available in the brand’s retail outposts and online store. Prices range from $160 USD to $260 USD.
