The North Face Reimagines Signature Silhouettes With Icons RMST Line

Since its 1968 founding, The North Face has remained an apparel mainstay for outdoor expeditions – procuring a catalog of functional yet attractive outerwear garments. Now, the San Francisco-born brand is reimagining some of its signature silhouettes with its new Icons RMST line.

The new offering marks the first time The North Face has updated these styles in 30 years. Comprising the collection are the brand’s Icon pieces like the Nuptse Jacket, Denali Jacket, Himalayan Parka, FUTURELIGHT Mountain Jacket and more. To reposition the pieces, the RMST line updates the original 1990s Icon styles with elevated constructions, enhanced elemental protection and streamlined design features.

Detailed features include reverse could zippers, improved waterproof capabilities, lighter ripstop and higher CFM fabrics, taped seams, 50/50 down technology and new bonded baffle constructions. Bringing the pieces to like are eye-catching shades of bright coral, light aquamarine, Persian blue and black.

“RMST continues the legacy of our original Icons—built for alpine exploration—and reimagines them through a contemporary lens,” said The North Face’s Senior Design Manager, David Whetstone. “We’ve integrated technology from our most pinnacle product, maintained iconic design DNA, and modernized fit. It’s the products we love, updated.”

Take a look at the offering in the gallery above. Ranging in price from $189 USD to $700 USD, the Icons RMST line releases in-store and online on November 8.
