Glaswegian imprint Mackintosh is following up on its recent link-up with Samuel Ross’ A-COLD-WALL* with an all-new solo collection for Fall/Winter 2022.

Mackintosh’s previous collection was centered on technical elements with a waist-length pullover kagool, as well as structured coach jackets crafted from RAINTEC fabrics. However, this time around, Mackintosh is sticking to its roots with a range of classic outerwear silhouettes that have been subtly reworked and updated.

The focus throughout the collection is on the understated pieces that Mackintosh is known for and it incorporates a selection of lightweight materials such as wool, linen, and nylon. All of the fabrications are also mixed with bright colors which include bold purples and vivid yellows.

Collection highlights come in the form of the contrast purple gilet that is water-repellent, windproof, and padded for warmth. The gilet is also crafted from hard-wearing nylon in a statement color-block design, while the finer details include spacious front pockets and a moleskin-lined collar. Rounding off the collection, Mackintosh has also included a collection of high-quality knitwear, jackets, and cozy accessories such as a bucket hat and scarf.

You can have a closer look at the FW22 collection from Mackintosh above and be sure to keep updated with the brand’s release on its official Instagram page.
