This season, Saucony Originals revamps its archetypal Shadow 5000 model in a combination of quality materials assembled by Italy’s heritage crafters. The latest edition is set to launch in a number of colorways with two iterations dropping exclusively for Fall/Winter 2022.

In a luxury take on the American original, the versatile Shadow 5000 silhouette is upholstered in a range of locally-sourced Italian leathers. A polished leather hide makes up the sneaker’s main overlays while a brushed suede frames the toe box and the back heel. Underneath, a sturdy yet breathable mesh is sewn together across the body in different tonal variations.

Finishing the sneaker with subtle detailing, Saucony’s logo is embossed alongside a ‘Made in Italy’ hallmark on the tongue. For the new season, the brand drops the new Shadow 5000 in a versatile “Navy/White” and more earthy “Forest Green/White” colorway. Take a closer look in the gallery above.

Saucony’s Shadow 5000 “Made in Italy” is available to buy online and in select retail stores.
