KOWGA Partners With UNION For Its First Unisex Collection
Appropriately named “FOR HER FOR HIM.”

Emerging Japanese streetwear label, KOWGA has only ever produced womenswear since its debut Fall/Winter 2021 collection — that is until the brand decided to team up with UNION for an exclusive collaboration.
As the name suggests, the “FOR HER FOR HIM” capsule collection comprises unisex styles in the form of military-style jackets, sweatshirts, and T-shirts. Every piece in the collection pays homage to UNION’s staple styles from the 1990s, all the while infused with KOWGA’s utilitarian streetwear aesthetics.
As an everyday statement, the short jacket takes on a silhouette similar to the ones worn by the British police force. Appliqued on the front is a small embroidered patch, designed by Tokyo-based graffiti artist SECT UNO, while large co-branding embroidery embellished the back.
Another noteworthy piece of the collection is the sweatshirt modeled after the brand’s OG silhouette, now emblazoned with the phrase “ALL DUES PAID IN FULL” across the front as inspired by the lyrics of Eric B & Rakim’s “Know The Ledge” track. The Walabee Boots from KOWGA and Clarks Orginals’ collaboration back in 2021 also make a return in two exclusive colorways.
Priced between ¥8,800 to ¥46,200 JPY (approximately $60 and $315 USD), the collection is currently available online at both KOWGA and UNION TOKYO. It will also be available at UNION OSAKA starting November 19.
