For Nike, 2022 saw the return of many silhouettes, including everything from unique runners such as the Air Kukini and Zoom Vomero 5 to basketball classics like the Terminator High. Focusing on the latter, the nearly 40-year-old sneaker has made noise throughout 2022 with OG looks such as the “Georgetown” colorway combining with collaborative COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS pairs. Now, a modern approach to the model has arrived in a fall-ready brown and black color scheme.

Appearing in a “Velvet Brown” colorway, the Nike Terminator High balances mesh and leather throughout its gloomy upper. The base favors a black textile with “Velvet Brown” tumbled leather overlays beginning at the mudguard and continuing at the laces, Swooshes and heel collar. Black tumbled leather also makes an appearance at the heel counter with its signature embossed “NIKE” text. Rounding out the new look, a white midsole rests atop a black rubber outsole.

Release for the Nike Terminator High “Velvet Brown” is expected to take place in the coming months via Nike and select retailers at a price of $125 USD.

For more in the world of footwear, yet another Nike Dunk High colorway has surfaced, once again courtesy of Beijing-based retailer SOULGOODS.
