2022 saw the triumphant return for various Nike models, including Penny Hardaway’s classic Air Max Penny 1. The ’90s born sneaker splashed back onto the scene courtesy of Social Status and its collaborative “Recess” capsule. Following this, various stylish colorways also hit shelves with more arriving each month. Adding to this list, an exotic “Tiger Stripes” look is on its way.

Nike has utilized various animalistic themes in its sneaker releases, including a recent “Animal Instinct” collection that saw classic silhouettes such as the Air Max 90 and Air Force 1 carrying the theme. However, this time around the brand has more subtly integrated its animal references. Black and white cover the entirety of this Air Max Penny 1 with its upper featuring leather, suede and mesh throughout. Its signature cracked Swooshes appear once again while the colorway’s “Tiger Stripes” can be spotted running from around the lacing system to the sneaker’s heel.

Release for the Nike Air Max Penny 1 “Tiger Stripes” is currently expected to take place next spring. While we await official word from Nike, look for it to be available via the Swoosh and select retailers worldwide at a price of $190 USD.

For more in the busy world of footwear, the Nike Dunk Mid has been equipped in a dark canvas with its “Off Noir” colorway set to release next year.
