True Religion and Sundae School Deliver "The Genesis Collection"
Inspired by the Seven Days of Creation.
Following a collaboration with Chief Keef celebrating its 20th-anniversary, True Religion teams up with Seoul-born, California-rased, Sundae School to further its True Creator partnerships program. The special range is part of the initiative that serves to nurture young creatives and allows up-and-coming brands to reimagine True Religion’s staple styles.
Titled “The Genesis Collection,” the collaborative collection builds on Sundae School’s mission to produce quality in small-batch productions delivering a limited offering that explores the brand’s ethos that “slow, intentional fashion renders a reliable, long-lasting high.”
Delivering a sartorial church for the subversive with a play on the Seven Days of Creation, the special range is comprised of both men’s and women’s products. The renditions of the True Religion’s Ricky, Bobby, and Becca styles come in the form of the Separate Water from Water Jean, Let The Earth Bring Forth Grass Hoodie and Sweatpant, Yin and Yang Jean, Welcome to Sundae School Jean, and Fish and Bird Jean.
The focus on craftsmanship is highlighted with the Let There Be Light Denim Hookup, marked by burn marks and hand-painted flames achieved in a 61-hour process. Other standouts include the hand-embroidered Fish and Bird Jean, and tie-dye graphic tees that stand as a representation of the 10 commandments.
“We grew up in Seoul and True Religion was our religion. You had to own a pair to be cool or to fit in, so when we first heard about this opportunity we were more than excited to work with a brand that we have such fond memories of,” says Dae Lim, Sundae School’s CEO. “Beyond being part of the incredible legacy True Religion has built, we were most excited to play on the concept of religion and the unique synergy that our brand names bring together. Sundae School started as a brand that imagined a world where a higher power was high during the creation process, so with this collaboration, we were able to throw it back to our own creation process and origin story.”

We felt that together we could venture into a world unknown much like the story and title of the line suggests.”
