Official Images of the TITAN x Air Jordan 2 Low
A tropical tribute to basketball culture.
Manilla-based TITAN is one of the Philippines’ foremost stewards of basketball culture, a position that’s led them to be tapped for multiple Nike and Jordan Brand collabs. Now, TITAN has linked up with the Jumpman again for a new take on the Air Jordan 2 Low — official images of which have just been revealed.
The low-cut Air Jordan 2 is almost totally tropical in its color scheme, embellishing its “Sail” and “Coconut Milk” base with “Saftey Orange” and “Chlorophyll” accents. Hits of island green are worked in as well, with the most notable material choice being the corduroy mudguard — which sits atop the leather-and-suede upper. Speckled midsoles and a custom leather hangtag that reads “Int’l Flight Club” bring the outer-facing half of the look together.
In basketball, just like in life, it’s often what’s on the inside that counts (5’3 Muggsy Bogues’ 14-year NBA career is proof of that concept) so TITAN has loaded up the interior of their Air Jordan 2 Low with details that, frankly, supersede the outward-facing ones. The insoles feature oval heel badges atop a full-color “mural” that shows an array of faceless hoopers of all colors, shapes and sizes. It’s not an exact representation, but four of the players are wearing numbered jerseys: #14, #22, #23 and #41, which could be nods to Cynthia Cooper, Clyde Drexler, Michael Jordan and Dirk Nowitzki. The print is replicated on custom tissue paper, and the box features both a globe graphic and postcard-style embellishments that nod to global hoops hotbeds.
An official release date for the TITAN x Air Jordan 2 Low has yet to be announced, but it’s likely to touch down this holiday season. When it does, it’ll be priced at $200 USD.
