British label Studio Nicholson is characterized by its forward-thinking approach to easy, yet elevated dressing. For the Spring/Summer 2022 season, the brand furthers its signature design ethos of luxury minimalism that centers on versatile garments and timeless colors.
By looking to the 90s, which is a constant source of inspiration for founder and creative director Nick Wakeman, the new offering blends 50s Ivy League styles and 90s Americana for a rebirth of menswear dress notes. The collection offers a contemporary update for classic prep-inspired styles with relaxed silhouettes, oversized garments and tonal colors. Featuring modering tailoring, cable-knit sweaters, collegiate cardigans, classic coats, wide-leg pants, mid-washed denim and more, the brand tastefully presents a mix of high and low dressing.
The collection’s modern, yet minimal presentation of updated sportswear is complemented by colors like hazelnut, persimmon, oatmeal, white stone, cream, cherry cola, dark navy, sage and more. In addition to seasonal layering that encompasses the collection’s entirety, a collection highlight is a relaxed three-piece hazelnut suit that features cotton and leather fabrics. The suit is complete with a Santo-colored shirt for a touch of contrast.
