Nike Air Force 1 "Roman Empire" Arrives in Burgundy Patent Leather
Featuring Roman bust motifs.

2022 is the 40th anniversary of Bruce Kilgore‘s iconic Air Force 1 silhouette. To celebrate the occasion, Nike is set to release a range of new limited-edition AF1s including this upcoming premium model dressed in Roman details.
Similar to the Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Paris,” the pairs take a subdued approach, offering subtle details hinting at the city in reference. Uppers are found in white tumbled leather with burgundy patent leather lateral swooshes and overlays. The white tweed tongue features a logo patch with a gold Roman bust motif and “Air Force 1” text in Roman typeface. Below, a pre-yellowed rubber sole unit completes the look.
The 40th Anniversary Air Force 1 Low “Roman Empire” is expected to release on Nike’s website and select retailers in the coming weeks. Take a look at the images above, and stay tuned for more updates.
