KidSuper Marks Paris Fashion Week Debut With Colorful FW22 Collection and Star-Studded Promo Film

For the Fall/Winter 2022 season, Colm Dillane of KidSuper was met with an even bigger task as it was his Paris Fashion Week debut. In order to mark the milestone in the designer’s career, he presented the new collection in the best way he knew how, which was a fun-filled film.

The collection film functions as a pilot for a television series titled “The Misadventures of KidSuper.” As the brand’s ethos is rooted in love for the cosmopolitan nature of New York City, the episode presents an imaginative look at the big city. With the help of friends like Joey Bada$$, Alex Goldberg, Kenneth Cash, Princess Nokia, Rabiullah Sikander, Myles Garret, Big Body Bes, Colm Dillane and with a cameo appearance from Marc Jacobs, the video treks all across New York City with included bits of animated video and commercial-like segments.

By exhibiting the personality-filled stories that makeup New York City, the film divulges an extremely personal way of showcasing clothes. In true KidSuper fashion, the only guiding theme of the collection’s designs is its commitment to showcasing everything high and low. The new offering features a wide array of pieces like suits, graphic outerwear, oversized crewneck sweaters, multicolored corduroy cargo pants, tracksuits and more. There’s almost no need to list colors that make up the collection as the plethora of fabrics like corduroy, plaid, houndstooth, silk, patchwork and more contain every color of the rainbow. Finishing off the eclectic collection are art-inspired prints and fun sports-centered graphics.

“I make clothes that I want to wear. I come up with ideas that I want to create,” said founder and creative director Colm Dillane. “All of it is driven by the eccentric characters alive in this NYC world that I am inspired by every day. As for the clothes, they feature paintings/drawings of these NYC moments that continuously hearten me.”
