Lexus has now unveiled a new offroad kit for the LX 600 SUV over at the Tokyo Auto Salon, created with the help of Japanese tuning house JAOS.

Aptly dubbed the LX 600 “OFFROAD,” the new option features an extensive body makeover tailored to take on any harsh terrain you’ll encounter. The vehicle receives upgraded parts from lightweight infusion-molded CFRP including its front and rear bumper skid plates and fenders, while mudguards, an exhaust muffler cutter, side steps and door handle protectors round out the rest of the enhancements. 20-inch 10-spoke Enkei forged rims now take over down low, complete with a Titanium Gold finish for a sportier aesthetic, paired with hefty 285/55R20 Toyo Open Country A/T Tires for more traction.

Performance-wise, the two automakers have retained the LX 600’s already impressive specs, keeping the twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 that can push out 409 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque through all four wheels thanks to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Other stock features include the Multi-Terrain Select system and an adaptive variable suspension.

There’s currently no pricing or availability information for the LX 600 “OFFROAD,” but Lexus says it’ll soon offer “a diverse range of products to meet the diversifying needs and lifestyles of its customers.”

Elsewhere in the automotive world, Toyota Gazoo Racing has unveiled the GR GT3 Concept at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
